Introducing the Universal Battery Holder - a lightweight and easy-to-use battery holder designed for shorty batteries. This holder can be installed on any Bingo Wasp chassis as well as MST RMX 2.0/2.5/M chassis, eliminating the need for body pins. The Universal Battery Holder is compatible with both thin (~19mm) and thick (~25mm) shorty battery packs. The Bingo RC Designs Wasp RD 2.0 is an upgrade chassis for the Yokomo Rookie Drift 2.0 drift car kit. The Wasp RD 2.0 replaces both the lower and upper decks with carbon fiber plates that reduce the weight and increase the flexibility over the stock plastic components.

The Bingo Wasp MAX AWB chassis is essentially  installed the same as the standard Wasp MAX chassis, but you can easily change the wheelbase by loosening 4 screws, sliding the rear chassis to the desired position, and then tightening the screws again. You can fit bodies with a wheelbase of 225mm to 274mm, like the Kyosho Fazer bodies, which typically have a wheelbase of 274mm, or any of the real grade bodies that have longer or shorter wheelbases than the standard 257mm. With the optional Xtra Long slide plate, you can extend the wheelbase all the way up to 324mm and  mount Traxxas 4-Tec bodies which have wheelbases that go up to 300mm!

The Bingo Wasp RMX AWB Chassis is designed as an upgrade for the MST RMX 2.0/2.5/M drift car chassis. The new AWB Chassis (adjustable wheelbase) allows a larger variety of bodies to be used on the chassis. The AWB supports a wheelbase of 225mm-274mm, and with the optional Xtra Long slide plate, you can go up to a wheelbase of 324mm! The Bingo Wasp RMX AWB chassis also brings significant weight reduction which will make the car feel much quicker. It also can increase the flex and grip of the car. There is also an additional battery placement option, allowing the battery to be moved further back for more traction.

The High Center of Gravity (CG) Battery tray allows the battery to be located high above the chassis. This significantly increases the weight shift of the car and makes for a more realistic body roll during transitions. The grip of the car can also be increased with tuning of the suspension geometry, dampers and springs. The High CG Battery tray allows the battery to be mounted both horizontally or vertically with the chassis. The High CG Battery tray is designed to work with all the Bingo Wasp chassis, Wasp RDX battery cage as well as the stock RDX battery cage. With the included 25mm extensions added to the 40mm risers, the High CG Battery tray can be used with Yokomo YD2/RD2.0 and MST RMX setups, when using the Bingo Wasp MAX chassis. Note the High CG Battery Tray requires that the motor be mounted in the high CG position. If the motor is in the low position, it blocks the mounting holes. The kit has been updated to support both shorty thin batteries (19mm) and shorty thick batteries (25mm).

1. Stock Upper Brace

Remove the 20 screws from the stock upper brace (set the screws aside). Remove the upper brace, then transfer the front end and backend components to the Wasp RMX chassis.

2. New Upper Brace

Assemble the new upper brace as shown, using the 3 x 15mm standoffs, and reusing 6 screws from stock brace.

3. Install New Upper Brace

Install new upper brace using 8 locknuts, reusing 8 screws from stock brace. *Note newer versions may be using embedded press nuts instead of locknuts.

4. Gyro Mount Plate

Reattach gyro mount plate to one side of the upper brace using 2 screws from stock brace. Standard setup is complete.

5. Optional Brace Extender

The RMX Upper Brace extender lengthens the upper brace and allows the battery to be placed more rearward when the motor is mounted hight. The brace extender also increases chassis flex. *Note newer versions use press nuts instead of the 15mm standoffs.

6. Stock Gearbox Mount

Remove the plastic gearbox front mount pieces. Retain the 30mm and 40mm screws.

7. Attach Extensions

*Note newer versions use press nuts embedded in the brace instead of the 15mm standoffs.

Attach the upper brace extensions as shown. Use 2 x 15mm standoffs and 4 x M3x8 flat head screws. 

8. Gearbox Attachment

Attach the upper brace extension to the gearbox using the stock screws. Long one toward the rear, with 3mm spacer, and shorter one toward front. 

9. Gearbox Attachment

Reuse a locknut on the front screw. Install the 0.5mm spacer and 9mm spacer on rear screw. Rear screw goes into motor plate. It is recommended that the spur gear and motor plate be removed to make installation of the gearbox screws easier. *Note newer versions use an embedded press nut instead of the lock nut shown here.

10. Battery Holder Placement

Motor can be placed in the high position, and battery cage can be moved rearward for more traction
